The Rules of the Tribunal
One riddle is set each day. You submit a single free-text answer — the Judge weighs the idea, not the spelling, so a typo or a synonym that captures the concept is counted correct.
Submissions seal at 16:00 UTC. One hour later, at 17:00 UTC, the whole world learns the answer together — no timezone finds out early, so no timezone gets to cheat.
You may answer only once. You may stake an Oath on your answer: whisper it, state it, or swear it. Swearing wrong is the most entertaining thing you can do here, and the bench will remember it fondly.
A correct answer lengthens your streak; a wrong one ends it; failing to appear ends it too. The Judge keeps a record of how your mind tends to work, and is not above referencing your past mistakes.
The Judge's ruling is final. Appeals are mocked publicly.
There is no signup wall and no password, ever. An email is optional and only ties your streak across devices. Answers in the Hall of Fame are always anonymous. The bench keeps no more about you than the game requires.
